Honor loved ones that you’re missing at this time. The holidays are often times when we begin to notice the hole left my someone who is no longer with us, whether they are decease or if they are no longer in our lives. Joy. Think about and make a list of what brings you joy - how can you do more of that during this busy time? Mindfulness. Practice mindfulness, maybe take up meditation or mindful walking. Self-compassion. Practice giving yourself grace and having self-compassion. What would you say to a friend who is struggling?</image:caption>

      <image:caption>I wanted to take a minute to introduce myself. I am a Penn State alumni and have called Philly home for about 7 years. I majored in French in college and have a love of all things Paris. I absolutely love the outdoors and travelling. In the summer you might find me kayaking, reading or practicing yoga outside, or just in general soaking in the fresh air and vitamin D. I have a cat named Lucy, who sometimes pops in to say hello during my virtual sessions - that’s her on the homepage! I discovered my passion with working with victims of trauma during my time as a counselor and advocate at Victims Services Center, Inc. where I worked with victims of crime. I provide clients with a safe, warm, and welcoming environment to heal and process the traumas that they have experienced. I support clients through mindfulness, self-care, and wellness. I work best with clients who are committed, engaged, and ready to do the work. Therapy is not a quick fix or a temporary band-aid.
